Who Are We?

Ungaro & Co was formed in 2002 by Darcy Ungaro. Darcy has completed a degree in Economics majoring in Finance at Massey University in Auckland. Originally from Canada, Darcy moved here 14 years ago to study at university. The familiar story followed – he met a girl, fell in love, bought a house (and got a mortgage), cats, etc etc. – now he cant get out! But loves it in New Zealand – ‘best place in the world to live’
Darcy enjoys flying in his spare time – an active member of North Shore Aero Club (see http://www.nsac.co.nz/). Darcy and his wife, Tanya, also enjoy going up to their “Bach in the Bush” near Whananaki, Northland.
Initially Darcy became a mortgage adviser as due to his personality, was deemed to be too ‘ambitious’ to work at a bank – a blessing in disguise. About 3 years ago, Darcy began to also advise his existing clients in the area of personal insurance. “Mortgages are a very powerful tool to assist people in getting what they want – Insurance is a very powerful tool to help people keep what they’ve got.”
So that’s Darcy Ungaro – what about the Co? As well as a personal assistant, Darcy works in partnership with other mortgage advisers in Auckland also – offering specialist mortgage insurance advice to these clients.
